The advanced training course for civil society organizations on networking and advocacy in the field of children’s rights (Hammamet, February 6-9, 2020)

The workshop was part of the completion of the implementation of the project “Strengthening a legal environment conducive to rights-based, fair, democratic and inclusive governance with a special focus on children’s rights and the rule of law in Libya”, which includes among its objectives, supporting and strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations in the field of preparing campaigns Advocacy and networking around child rights

Objectives

Providing participants with basic knowledge and information about networking, network building, mobilization and advocacy by adopting the approach based on human and child rights. Providing the participants with the skills and information necessary to set a frame of reference for the establishment of a network to protect the rights of the child, especially with regard to the vision, mission, reference principles and strategic objectives.

Providing participants with the necessary skills and information to plan awareness and advocacy campaigns about child rights.

- Enhancing the participants’ attitudes towards the importance of coordination, networking and advocacy in the field of children’s rights and the role of civil society organizations and children and adolescents in promoting, disseminating and monitoring them and presenting alternatives and proposals.

- Motivating and encouraging the participants to establish a network to protect children’s rights in Libya, and to prepare initial plans to advocate for some issues and children’s rights in Libya, and to share roles and tasks in this framework

Participants: 22 participants, including 7 women and 15 men
