Training workshop for Libyan CSOs on international mechanisms related to children’s rights and the “Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism” (MRM)on grave violations of children’s rights (Tunis, 24-30 June 2019)

The workshop was held from 24 to 30 June 2019 at the "Acropole" hotel in Tunis, and is targeted members of CSOs and activists working in the field of children's rights in Libya.

Training program

The training program included two main axes, the first related to familiarization with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the methodology for preparing reports for the Committee on the Rights of the Child, and the second related to the “monitoring and reporting mechanism” on grave violations of children’s rights

Objectives

Providing participants with basic knowledge and information about the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the two Optional Protocols, the mechanism of work of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child, and the guidelines for writing periodic and parallel reports on children's rights.
