The workshop was held within the framework of the implementation of the program “Strengthening Libya’s Efforts to fulfill its UN commitments in the field of human rights”, following up on the implementation of national commitments emanating from international conventions and treaties ratified by the Libyan state, and preparing periodic and shadow reports for the various UNHRMs. It is supported by the Human Rights and Rule of Law Section of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the European Union Mission to Libya, and the Canadian Fund to Support Local Initiative. The workshop is part of the follow-up to the training workshop held in October 2021 on the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the methodology for preparing the parallel report of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
